I noted the motor looks like a brand new or rebuilt motor but I cannot verify. (look at the pictures and you can see yourself) After the pump was put back together I tested in my pool. (look at the pictures) I ran the pump at various speeds up to 3180 RPM and that was all I dared to go because my temporary hookup became unstable and a little dangerous. Ran at 3180 for 5 minutes and shutdown. This is an excellent pump, wisper quiet running and all functions work as intended. I have been using one of these same pumps in my pool for the last 5 years and during the day I run at low speed 2000 rpm and when I want to use the Jacuzzi I have one of the speeds set to 2850 rpm. I never need to run higher than 2850 rpm. You must also program the pump for the speed to run and the time to start and shutdown. I highly recommend you check you tube videos because there are many good videos out there that will show you in detail how to program the pump. UPDATE: The listing states the pump is a V F 011012 but I cant find those numbers anywhere. The numbers on the pump are 354605E and 354704.
